Not everything is as it seems…

A lot of companies are making these right now, and with the recent supply issues with toilet paper you may be tempted to give them a try.

Flushable wipes create problems for septic systems

While it’s true that they are flushable, so are a lot of other things like toys, coins, socks and nearly anything else smaller than your fist. It’s what happens after they get flushed that could become a problem. Toilet paper is specifically designed to break down quickly in any septic system. Not so with flushable wipes (or socks). And since they don’t break down they can wreak havoc on septic pumps and systems. Flushable wipes can lead to clogs in your plumbing lines or can seize up your pump. The only thing safe to flush is toilet paper. If you do decide to use these find another way to dispose of them, but don’t flush them!
